What is Otter Class?

Otters Class is an in-school provision offered to those children who attend Downsview. It is a small group provision for those children who have more complex needs, or for children who require more tailored support that cannot be met with the resources and structure of the mainstream classroom.

The teaching and learning within Otters Class is focused on supporting accelerated learning from the children's starting points, and to minimise or close the gaps in reading and writing and maths. We also support speech and language skills and social skills (depending on the needs of the children).
