Clubs at Downsview
At Downsview, our after-school Clubs offer the opportunity for children to interact outside of the classroom environment and learn new skills, providing fun for the child. A club will help develop the child's self-esteem, self-confidence, moral, social and interaction skills.
We currently offer clubs outside of school hours, lead by our staff, who have a range of different skills and talents. By staff offering to lead these clubs, children get the chance to learn beyond the National Curriculum.
Our clubs are after school 3.15-4.15pm, Before school 8.20-8.50am and are priced at £10 for the 10 week programme. In addition to these, we offer lunchtime clubs with no charge.
Each club has a maximum capacity and places are on a first come, first served basis.
We endeavour to continue to provide clubs that are exciting, engaging and offer a wide range of experiences to those children who would not ordinarily have access to these kind of experiences outside of the school environment.
Club letters are sent out to parents via email before the term starts and payments can be made through ParentPay, alongside completing a consent form and returning this to Mrs Gray.
If you have any further questions about clubs or have any recommendations of outside agencies please email Sec1@downsview.croydon.sch.uk FAO Mrs Gray.
Spring- Club letters
At Downsview, we encourage all children to perform which supports the child in gaining confidence and self belief in other areas of the curriculum. This is why the Choir is so important to us. The choir is formed from children across KS2 who have a passion for singing. We meet weekly to practise and attend concerts and performances throughout the year.
This week we attended the Young Voices concert at the 02. Here are some videos and pictures of us.
