Extra Curricular Clubs
At Downsview our After school clubs offer the opportunity for children to interact outside of the classroom environment and learn new skills, providing fun for the child. A club will help develop the child's self esteem, self confidence, moral, social and interaction skills.
Our clubs are lead mostly by our staff, who have a range of different skills and talents. By offering to lead these clubs, children get the chance to learn beyond the National Curriculum.
We also have clubs lead by outside agencies: Mini Makes and Bakes, Lego legends, Be free sports, Yoga and Breathe and Palace for life.
Here are some photos of the wonderful things pupils are able to take part in at our clubs.
Seeds of Play- woodwork
Choir
At Downsview, we encourage all children to perform which supports the child in gaining confidence and self belief in other areas of the curriculum. This is why the Choir is so important to us. The choir is formed from children across KS2 who have a passion for singing. We meet weekly to practise and attend concerts and performances throughout the year.
This year 2022-2023, we have some amazing opportunities to sing for the community. We will be singing Christmas carols at the Beulah Vista Care Home and at our own Winter fair and we hope for many more opportunities in the Spring.
If your child is passionate about singing, speak to Mrs Gray!
