Downsview

Primary and Nursery School

At Downsview our After School Clubs offer the opportunity for children to interact outside of the classroom environment and learn new skills, providing fun for the child.  A club will help develop the child's self-esteem, self-confidence, moral, social and interaction skills.

We currently offer clubs outside of school hours, mostly led by our staff, who have a range of different skills and talents.  By staff offering to lead these clubs, children get the chance to learn beyond the National Curriculum. Some of our clubs are run by outside companies who specialise in different activities and experiences (These are charged at different rates to below).

Our clubs, after school from 3.15pm to 4.15pm and before school from 8.20am to 8.50am, are priced at £10 for the 10 week programme.  In addition to these, we offer lunchtime clubs with no charge.

Each club has a maximum capacity and places are on a first come, first served basis.

We endeavour to continue to provide clubs that are exciting, engaging and offer a wide range of experiences to those children who would not ordinarily have access to these kind of experiences outside of the school environment.

Club letters are sent out to parents via email before the term starts and payments can be made through ParentPay, alongside completing a consent form and returning this to Mrs Gray.

If you have any questions about our clubs or have any recommendations of outside agencies, please email sec1@downsview.croydon.sch.uk - for the attention of Mrs Gray.
